Stephen McGuinness: Hi, I'm Stephen McGuinnis, and I use hemp products. Um, primarily helps me with anxiety, helps me with sleep, um, but things from like flour, sometimes the edibles, gummies, things like that. Uh, a lot of times it's gonna help me, a lot of times for anxiety, mainly. Um, sometimes pain relief, inflammation, things like that. Um, but it's gonna help me just kind of generally have a, a better type of, uh, day. Less issues with pain, less issues with anxiety, stress, and a lot of other things like that, that uh tend to cause a lot of issues within the day.

Stephen McGuinness: Before hemp products, uh, primarily it would have been mostly alcohol or just trying to get through life with, you know, just the stress of life and not being able to really devote my full potential to the day. Um, alcohol would, you know, tend to maybe help in the short term, but long term, it's no answer. And hemp products just tend to be a lot healthier, a lot safer, and a lot more beneficial for me.

Stephen McGuinness: If these products were banned, then life would go back to a lot more stress, a lot more anxiety, less quality of sleep, less quality of life, just a whole lot more stress, and just a whole lot more problems that stress can lead to, uh, whether it's physically, emotionally, mentally, whichever it would be, um. Banning the hemp products is going to cause a big humongous issue to not only me, but many people. Uh, I would lose my job. I work in the hemp industry, so I would lose my job. I'd have to find something else. It would cause, you know, problems just all over the place.

Stephen McGuinness: To the politicians in Raleigh pushing the ban, I would ask you, why are you trying to go against the will of the people? I would ask. Who is in your pocket, I would ask. Why would you not want people to be healthy or healthier? Why would you not want people to be feeling more peaceful? Uh, why would you want to ruin the quality of life for numerous people, whether they use hemp products or whether they work within the industry. Who are you serving? There's a lot of people here that are just getting a better quality of life, getting off alcohol. Getting off narcotics, getting off any kind of pills. So I would ask, why would you want to ruin so many people's quality of life that are the people that you are supposed to look out for.

Stephen McGuinness: I would also say just in closing that. There is a, at least in my store that I work at, there's a small community of people that are just noticing a better quality of life. And it's forming a better little community of people. We have regulars at my store that, you know, they come in and it's like friends just checking in with each other whenever they come in. It's, it's created not only a really great environment and a really great vibe. But it's also helping people, helping people get off alcohol, helping people get off whatever else they were using that wasn't as good for them, and wouldn't make them as peaceful or happy as they want to be, or be able to get rid of stress. Of the life that they lead. We would need just to keep as much of this going as possible. There's no reason to ban it. Unless You don't want people to be healthy. You don't want people to be. Productive. You don't want people to have a good quality of life. This gives people a good quality of life.
