Hailey Jessen : So, my life before I found hemp looked a lot different.

Hailey Jessen : The hemp products that I like using the most would be Delta 9 drinks. I usually drink them instead of alcohol. Um, I also really like edibles. I do a lot of stuff to help with sleep aid and pain management. So I'll do creams, tinctures, um, edibles, and then drinks as well.

Hailey Jessen : So, my life before I found hemp looked a lot different. I would stay out super late. I would party a bunch. I would drink a lot of alcohol. Now, I go to bed early every night. I'm probably in bed by 10 o'clock every night. Um, I have an edible. I go to sleep. I sleep like a baby. I wake up early. Um, I feel so much more productive in my life, not waking up hungover all the time. I'm at the gym almost every day. I do yoga when I'm not at the gym. I'm out walking all day. I just feel a lot more alive using hemp products, um, and I'm so, so happy that I'm using them instead of other coping mechanisms because it's helped with my anxiety, my productivity level. I feel just really more successful overall.

Hailey Jessen : If hemp products got banned tomorrow, it would change my entire life. Um, my job would be at risk because that is what I do for a living. On top of that, I use these products to deal with anxiety and pain management and sleep aid. I think my entire life would change overnight in such a negative way, and I feel like it's such a great resource for those looking for healthy alternatives, and I just, I couldn't even imagine my life without these products.

Hailey Jessen : To any politicians in Raleigh that are trying to ban this product, I would say I do agree with better regulation, but a total ban of everything would be detrimental. It would take away so many jobs. It would take away so much pain management. And sleep aid, and products that are giving people a healthier lifestyle, where they were using prescription drugs before and abusing those. Those were using alcohol and abusing those. So, yes, I do believe in better regulation, but banning these products would be a huge mistake.

Hailey Jessen : Getting rid of hemp products in North Carolina would impact the lives of so many people, and I think it would be really detrimental, and I just don't believe that there's any good that comes out of banning these products.
