ShaRon Johnson Bynum: Hi, my name is ShaRon Johnson Bynum I am the program manager for the lease optimization program at Verizon. And I'm located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
How did you first hear about CareerVillage.org?
ShaRon Johnson Bynum: I heard about CareerVillage through our employee resource groups. I'm a member of several of them and it was an initiative that uh encouraged us to get involved with providing student feedback. And I thought that's a wonderful cause and I've joined and been very pleased with the questions and the ability to give honest feedback about my experience so that it might help someone along the way.
What has been your favorite question so far on CareerVillage?
ShaRon Johnson Bynum: My favorite question that I answered was related to someone that was interested in pursuing basketball internationally. And it was my favorite because I'm a basketball mom. I have a son that plays uh college basketball. My daughter played college basketball when she was in school and we're just a basketball family. So it was unique to see something in there that related to both my professional and personal life.
Why do you volunteer on CareerVillage?
ShaRon Johnson Bynum: I volunteer at career village because I think it's very important to give the students of today an opportunity to get insight and information by a seasoned professional um career development for students is important to me as a mother, as a member of a hiring group. And just as a member of society, it's important that we leave uh footprints for those that come behind us. And this is a great way that I can spend my time and resources investing in the future.
