Speaker: Bree Barton

What led you to seek legal assistance?

Bree Barton: I had an unfortunate experience with enterprise rental uh after a tow cost me $2800. So I was thinking about taking enterprise to small claims court and wanted to know what my options were. So I decided to reach out to cape and speak with a professional who could guide me through that process.

How did Cape help you?

Bree Barton: So I spoke to one of the cape attorneys, Elizabeth who was great. She was super professional. She listened really well. She had actually done a little research before we got on the phone about my situation. And we were able to figure out pretty quickly from her research, that enterprise doesn't do small claims court, most of the big car rental companies don't. So it's arbitration or nothing. And Elizabeth was able to explain arbitration to me, walk me through some of the paths and even give me resources for finding out more information. But the thing she said that absolutely ended up changing everything was she gave me two legal terms of what I would use in my correspondence with enterprise to show them the places that they had failed and broken an oral contract. Um and basically some of the liabilities that that opened up. So I took that language, I went back to Enterprise, the correspondence that had not gotten a response up to that point. And I said I would be moving forward with arbitration based on these two claims. And because of that, because of the language Elizabeth gave me and the expert advice I was fully reimbursed by the company.

How would you describe Cape Law in three words?

Bree Barton: Keep in three words, I would say prompt, professional and highly effective. You know, that's two words, um extremely worth it. High value. I feel like none of these are, are really condensed into one word. Um So let's just go with transformative.
