What’s your favourite part about studying at OCAD?
Amelia Nicholas: undertaking a level 34 foundation diploma in art and design at OCAD helped me build my portfolio to apply to University. It also guided me in discovering new mediums and learning my strengths and weaknesses to work on.
What would you tell other students considering studying at OCAD?
Amelia Nicholas: I chose to study at a due to the flexibility of online schooling as I was taking my A levels. At the same time, I was also drawn to the possibility of one on one tutorials with a tutor. These proved immensely beneficial to me and my progress throughout the whole of the course. I also really admired the fact that I could focus in on architecture from beginning to end of the course. I now feel much more prepared to go and study university.
What makes OCAD unique and how has it helped you?
Amelia Nicholas: What I think makes OCAD unique is the enthusiasm of the tutors and the students. I really enjoyed meeting my tutors to discuss my work and also our interests. The student chat room has been a very inspirational place to look at, and I really think the sense of community is shone through it.
