What do you like most about Cambridge Home School Online?
Mr Sukhvinder Sohal: As parents, what we like most about CHS Online is that it allows us to balance our child's education with our business commitments. What we discovered was that it allows take her with with us to experience new challenges, you know, new cultures. That's really nice to see that develop and make her more independent and resilient when we go to these places because she gets to do all these new activities and we use CHS Online uh to facilitate that part of our lives. The other thing which we really like was the social clubs, particularly the cooking club. You get very interactive with your child, watching her develop and learn how to cook, make a mess, but it's really rewarding to watch her do those things when you wouldn't have had that opportunity in a normal school.
Why did you decide to educate your child online and why did you choose Cambridge Home School Online?
Mr Sukhvinder Sohal: We decided to educate our child online because we felt that she was falling behind initially and the objective was to catch her up and use home schooling so that she had no distractions and could focus on what she needed to do. We chose Cambridge online after reviewing, I think we had two or three in the idea side. And we chose um Cambridge Online because we actually had a discussion with the deputy head that we didn't have with the other schools to talk about the activities with social clubs. How do you transition from a normal school environment to doing it at home? and I think Mr Boylan was actually quite key to our decision making.
Has learning at Cambridge Home School Online changed your child? If so how?
Mr Sukhvinder Sohal: What we found with our child was that she's become more independent, become more resilient. That's just because we facilitate the way Cambridge allow us to do those other activities outside of class. and you can notice, that in her and it's really refreshing to see that, that she has that independence.
As you have been at the school for a while now what advice would you like to give to parents about attending Cambridge Home School Online?
Mr Sukhvinder Sohal: I think one advice I would give would be to put a timetable together which includes all their activities they do at school and everything outside. We joined a gym, some extracurricular activities outside were probably quite helpful as for the school, I would always say where you have problems where you notice that your child's probably not or struggling in a particular subject is to email Mr Boylan with your concerns so they can action them before the next semester.
Finally, would you recommend Cambridge Home School Online and if so why?
Mr Sukhvinder Sohal: We would certainly recommend Cambridge home schooling. but it really depends on your objectives and why you're putting your child there in the first place. Our objective was to get our child's grades up. And then for one year after one year, we would transition out into a normal school. in the end, actually, we stayed longer than the original one year that we anticipated she's made friends. And it also allows us to give that, life balance that exists outside of school.
