Please introduce yourself and tell us about your current role.
Natalia Perez: Hi, my name is Natalia Perez. I am a program specialist here in the Ceres Partnership. We are a family resource center (FRC).
How are you using what you’ve learned in your everyday work with families and/or within your organization?
Natalia Perez: I've been loving all of CalTrin's trainings. I've been learning about the protective factors mainly. I teach a class, "Plan a Baby" and different parenting classes, and I've been learning how I can teach tools, different tools to my parents so they can incorporate into their family.
Please tell us about any specific success, improvement, or change your participation in CalTrin training helped you achieve and how.
Natalia Perez: I am new to my position. So everything that I'm learning, I'm so passionate about it. I'm like, I wish I knew this information before so I couldn't apply it, apply it in my own family. But it's just been so helpful to learn about the protective factors and how that affects the development of the children. And even as a parent, how can we be a better parent?
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Natalia Perez: Thank you for all the trainings that you guys (CalTrin) provide. It's a lot of resources that we can share with our parents and just be better facilitators.
