Please introduce yourself and tell us about your current role.
Angela Ziesman: Hello. My name is Angela. I am currently a Mothers and Recovery Counselor with Granite Wellness Centers' outpatient program.
How are you using what you’ve learned in your everyday work with families and/or within your organization?
Angela Ziesman: I am implementing what I have learned into my role as a parent group facilitator and in-home support case manager. Patience, cultural awareness, and also understanding my role in creating a trauma-informed environment.
Please tell us about any specific success, improvement, or change your participation in CalTrin training helped you achieve and how.
Angela Ziesman: California Training Institute has been very helpful with offering resources and I have been able to navigate their website very easily with useful information. And it allows me to find upcoming trainings that I can register for. I also like the PowerPoint note option, where I can follow along and take my own notes. It's very helpful.
Have you encouraged colleagues from your organization or other family-serving professionals to participate in CalTrin training? If yes, why?
Angela Ziesman: One of my colleagues actually told me about California Training Institute and provided me your website. And so I navigated through it and saw all the trainings that were available. So I started hitting, you know, register to each one and started taking them. So they've been really helpful and I do the same to other colleagues that I work with.
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Angela Ziesman: I just want to say thank you for your help and for offering this amazing website that I can register for these trainings that have been very helpful and educational as well as the resources that you offer and make easily available to anyone who's looking. So I do really appreciate everything that you do and I look forward to the future trainings that you have to offer. Thank you.
