Speaker: Natalie Lozano

How has BossmakeHer changed your life?

Natalie Lozano: I hadn't been in the job market for over 15 years, and the rules of the game have changed so much. I felt really intimidated by understanding how to position myself, rework my resume, and even speak about myself without being attached to a job or a company. I found BossmakeHer and after learning about the services and the community that they provide, I immediately signed on. The greatest surprise I discovered through this journey was that I hold the power to create my own narrative and transition my career the exact way I want and need. This changed my life and is a mindset I bring to my new job.

What part of the BossmakeHer program made the biggest difference for you, and why?

Natalie Lozano: While every step of the process was valuable, I really enjoyed the strategic positioning phase. This is where I took all of my market research and personal vision and applied this to my resume and my online presence. I essentially developed my personal brand. And I'm really glad I chose to add on BossmakeHer's branding package because the way they polished my resume was so right on, and expressed my unique story in such a flattering way. I was ready to hire myself. This service helped me get in the door past screening calls for positions consistently.

What three words best describe BossmakeHer, and why?

Natalie Lozano: Three words that best describe BossmakeHer Community, Thought-Provoking, and Nurturing. Community because I met a network of accomplished senior-level women who I continue to be in touch with. Thought-provoking because they opened my eyes to how the hiring system really works and provided structure and resources that piqued my curiosity and accelerated my landing. And nurturing because the BossmakeHer team are not only experts in their fields, but they're also attentive, available, and adaptive to members.

Based on your BMH experience, what advice would you give a friend who is navigating the job search process on her own?

Natalie Lozano: Looking for a new job is a lonely process, whether you're seeking while you're still employed, or if you left your job and you're unemployed. I would advise a friend navigating the job search process on her own to seek community and support rather than going it alone.
