Liza Dable: How has BossmakeHer changed my life? It gave me the tools to think about what I really wanted in a job. And to pursue those. To really give it good thought rather than just thinking, ok, I'm gonna get a similar job.
What part of the BossmakeHer program made the biggest difference for you, and why?
Liza Dable: So what part of BossmakeHer program made the biggest difference for me? I would definitely say it was the resume. I didn't have a lot of experience with resumes and, while I had updated mine a few times, the format never really seemed to work. I would make it longer. I would make it shorter. Couldn't find that magic bullet.
What three words best describe BossmakeHer, and why?
Liza Dable: So three words to describe BossmakeHer. Very first one would be healing. Both of my most recent roles left me with a lot of doubts and negative thoughts. BossmakeHer helped me to understand that it wasn't necessarily me. That there were some things about the roles that just weren't a good fit for me.
Based on your BMH experience, what advice would you give a friend who is navigating the job search process on her own?
Liza Dable: So the advice I would give to friends who are in the job search right now, one I would recommend BossmakeHer. As long as they're willing to put in the work, warning them that there will be work that, it's not a magic bullet that nobody's going to do the job for you. But that it really does work.
