How has BossmakeHer changed your life?
Jovana: BossmakeHer has changed my life by shifting the way I think. Instead of focusing only on personal advancement, I now think more intentionally about influence, impact, and how I can create long-term value for the people, organization, and communities I serve. This mindset shift has given me clarity, confidence, and a sense of purpose in how I showed up professionally and personally.
What part of the BossmakeHer program made the biggest difference for you, and why?
Jovana: The part of the BossmakeHer program that made the biggest difference for me was the clarity and networking coaching. I really want to thank the incredible coaches who supported me along the way, Coach Nikki, Coach Anne, Coach Hannah, Coach Audra, and of course, Coach Megan. One advice that still stayed with me was from Coach Megan, who told me, all you need is just one meaningful connection. At that time, I was intimidated by networking, but that advice completely changed my approach. I focus on quality over quantity, and that one meaningful connection ultimately led me to where I am today. I had applied to the same company for 4 times in the past year, 3 times before joining BossmakeHer and the 4th time after applying what I learned from BossmakeHer, I got in. This wasn't luck. This was persistence, strategies, and the support from the BossmakeHer coaches.
What three words best describe BossmakeHer, and why?
Jovana: If I have to describe BossmakeHet in 3 words, I would choose clarity, courage, and commitment. Clarity is the foundation. It's defining what you want and what truly matters. So, clarity helps me to find what I wanted. That is essential to long-term success. Courage is about showing up with confidence and executive presence, even when I don't feel comfortable. And commitment reflects both BossmakeHer's dedication to our success and my own commitment to continue growth and to helping others succeed.
Based on your BMH experience, what advice would you give a friend who is navigating the job search process on her own?
Jovana: The advice that I would give to anyone who's navigating their job search, especially they're doing it alone, is that. Trust yourself and trust the process. This is your journey and you are the captain. BossmakeHer coaches are there to help you navigate and steer, but as long as you have the clarity about where you want to go and the courage to take action, you will arrive at your destination. To my fellow BossmakeHers you are brilliant, ambitious, and capable of extraordinary things. Follow your passion, stay committed to your growth, and success will follow.
