Speaker: Olga, OFMFT Inc.
Can you describe how Blueprint has helped you? The more specific the better!
Olga: Blueprint has helped me be more present during my sessions. It's helped me stress less about. Writing out those sessions and it is also helped with having more time in between sessions because it only takes 2 minutes. For the transcription to be complete. I can add it into my practice notes and take a break.
How much time have you saved on documentation as a result of Blueprint? Have you re-invested this newfound time into anything notable?
Olga: So as many people know. Documentation can be really daunting. Um, sometimes if you've been seeing people back to back. It all kind of gets jumbled up, so um. With having blueprint. Um, I can go back and read. Everything that occurred and. Just feel even more assured of what I heard from who and not have to second guess whether I've, you know, mixed something up, especially on the days when you're meeting with clients back to back. Um, And you don't have time to do notes right after a session, and you sit down at the end of the day and you're trying to recall it all. It's time consuming, so, um, I really feel like. Blueprint has really changed the game on that, um, and it does really allow for more time to invest in just spending time with family or even spending time trying to You know, um, Learn more, uh, interventions or just look back at what has been occurring to be able to piece together, put together, um, what else might be missing from treatment.
How do you describe Blueprint to clients when it comes to obtaining consent? How do clients react?
Olga: So asking for consent for a blueprint is pretty easy. I let people know that it is a secure HIPAA compliant um tool that I use in my practice to be able to capture everything that we discussed in our session. And I explained to them that that's really important just for me to remember, you know, everything that happened one, so that, you know, as time moves forward in treatment, I can really Piece together things that have been said in the past because not every, you know, not every therapeutic relationship has this concise timeline kind of clients come in and talk about the past, talk about the future, talk about things they forgot to mention, you know, um, certain things, so it allows me to put together this timeline, right, over time, um. But it's only through the use of this tool that I'm able to do that with some accuracy, um. So I explained to people that by consenting to blueprint, it really allows me to, you know, consolidate their information, um, and keep it accurately, um, and it also again comes down to just being more present and worrying less about remembering everything. Um, and I haven't had one person say that. They didn't want that. Um, everyone wants a present therapist. Everyone wants to know that, um, what they are saying is interpreted with accuracy. So I think that blueprint so far has been extremely accurate in the interpretation of what people are saying, um, and everything that I'm saying, and what is happening in the session, and uh it's great for both the therapist and the client knowing that accuracy. Um Is part of their session.
