Monzelle Dozier: All right. Peace, everybody. Uh My name is Monzelle Dozier. I'm with LLAC in the Learn For Life Network and the talent I'll be showcasing today is something called live looping. Uh I, I'm a live loop artist in my free time and so I'm gonna showcase a little bit of what that is. Wish me luck.

Monzelle Dozier: All right. So the title of my piece here is called Heaven Only Knows, uh originally produced by an artist by the name of K-OS. Uh I was inspired to perform it because one, he was an artist uh out of Canada um that I had never heard of before. And it, it made me acknowledge that a quick black history fact, there is in fact, so much black talent and art out there that uh it'll never be on the radio, it'll likely never be on the news. And so you actually have to seek that black excellence in the cracks and crevices of world history. So, yeah.

Monzelle Dozier: All right. So uh this is live looping in motion. B um mm Bye. No, the boo boo boo boo. All right. But it's me building a track. Hopefully I can vibe with it because then the verse goes something like it. No, no, it's actually the hook, hook goes like heaven. Heaven, heaven only knows because I don't understand. I break out of my physical shell and exhale past the so-called body used to go to the party but now I sit and chill with the pin in the pad dropping ill philosophical science. Me and my dad, we talk about life and how it started how we departed from light's path and probable. Right? Math the task in hand. It's making people understand that we not who we think we are within this land of the lost the cause. The souls could be so high. People be getting high wondering why we died. But it's all planned. Take the hand because the lessons need learning concerning the fact I sing in my rap I hope this mic contact critics can step back and analyze i energize cosmic rays the days of IGNO, I get my sick note from the sun because heaven only knows heaven only, no. Now I know you wanna be on top of the world giving diamonds and pearls to your girl watching your jacuzzi swirl. But that seems like material lust. We need to look up to the heavens for imperial. Trust me. I know it's hard when you rhyme. Sometimes everybody want to scrutinize but redefine who you are because every person is a star. So let your light shine far and praise God.
