Speaker: William Flippin, Jr., Real Estate Professional

Tell us William, what do you enjoy most about being a real estate professional?

William Flippin, Jr.: What I love being the most as a real estate professional is to work with people. It's all about relationships, relationships, relationships, but also what I enjoy as well is to listen to each individual's situation, story, contacts. Because I believe that each story is unique. I particularly love hearing about transition, those who wan't to transition even pre COVID, whether you're going through a divorce, whether you're transitioning to a school, a new city, looking for a bigger home as your family is expanding to be sensitive to those transitions. Because when you are usually purchasing your house, it is due to a transitional phase, usually positive. So I love to build relationships, rapport through understanding those transitions which we've all had. Also, I love to serve human need. What guides me is a scripture from the Holy Bible from John Chapter 13, Jesus sitting at the head table, he washed the Disciples feet. So even though real estate professionals are tasked to have great responsibility. I think at the core of a good agent, what I enjoy the most is to exude servant leadership to know that it's about human need that is not just about transactions, closings, but it's about building relationships. One of the things that I'm moving into with my company, Flip Smart Property Solutions is to look at those who have assets, assets such as real estate, commercial, and giving their way to charity to, to help the human need to help the community and, and, and where they live. Because I think that's the best way to bring our resources together and help others. So that's what guides me is to understanding the face of real estate also to work with colleagues from all brokerages to understand the changing dynamics of cloud brokerages, which I'm a part of, EXP, and to have the brokerages definitely be real estate-centric instead of just brokerage-centric. So those are some aspects that I, that I love that I will continue to advocate for being part of the Fayette County Board of Realtors and moving forward.

That's great, William! How do you hope potential clients feel after meeting you?

William Flippin, Jr.: When clients meet me, I hope they understand that I realize that they are a lot of realtors. So I'm really excited, honored, and humbled that they're considering to work with me. So I wanted to exude that to know that it's not just entitlement, but that it is an honor to serve. But what that, what I want them to feel though is that I'm listening, that I'm listening to each individual situation, that I have a plan to tailor what they're telling me for their transitional needs, their needs as a client, and that I will work with them not only for a transaction, but that I will continue to work with them in the future by keeping in touch, by seeing how they're doing periodically, because I believe that the client relationship continues even after the closing. Also, I hope they feel that I am warm, that I'm genuine, that I'm authentic, that I will be willing to listen to their needs, their stories, even in transition, divorce, that I am committed to the holistic person beyond just the transaction and closing.
