Speaker: Ian Jones, District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS)
Introduce yourself.
(State your name and the School District you work for)
Ian Jones: My name is Ian Jones and I work for the District of Columbia Public Schools, also known as DCPS
How did United Schools Associates help you?
Ian Jones: About two years ago, I had to have surgery on my knee, so I was out for an extended period of time. Um, At that point, I did exhaust my paid leave. I was still able to stay out on leave, but I needed a paycheck. So United Schools Associates, in a short time frame, did match my normal salary, and I was able also to receive help with the co-pay for physical therapy.
Would you recommend United Schools Associates to other educators?
Ian Jones: I would highly recommend United Schools Associates to other educators. One, you just never know. Things do happen. I wasn't planning on having to have knee surgery, but when I did have to have it and I didn't need to use the United School Associates, they were there for me, customer service was A++. customer service was A++. I had no issues there. I didn't have to talk to a machine. I talked to an individual, my associate Mr Carter. Um, and everything went smooth. Process is very easy. Simple right to the point. And like I said, a short time frame, I was able to receive my benefits.
