Can you introduce yourself and describe your role at your school?

Holly Parks: Hello, my name is Holly. I work for human resources for um, a larger school district in Wisconsin. And I love Bchex. We have recently um switched to using Bchex for our background check company and we've been very pleased with it. Um I do all of our on boarding and new hiring for our district. So, um I love the simplicity of the link that we can send out to new hires. They click on it. It's a quick, easy process. We have had no difficulties um with the whole process and I log on and I send it through. We've gotten them all back in fantastic time frames. We've been very pleased with that. When we receive the um results back, they're very easy to read. Um Everything is very clear, very um easy to use the whole system. We've just been very pleased with it so we appreciate Bchex. Um Their customer service has been really great. Um They even have an option for if an ID doesn't work for scanning for the QR code for starting their background check, they have another option of how staff can do it a different way. And that has been really successful. So love the company. We've um had a great experience with them and are very thrilled to be working with them. Thanks.

How has working with Bchex made your hiring process smoother and more efficient for teachers and staff at your school?

Holly Parks: So yeah, in the past, um we had to deal with paperwork for background checks. So Bchex um has made our hiring process incredibly smooth where I can just send out the link. Um They click right on the link and they can do it all there. I don't have to wait to get it back. They can just submit it right to Bchex Um And then every morning I log on and I just send through the ones that I want to be approved. Um They're approved within a short amount of time and we're done. So it's a very quick, easy process for the end user and for ourselves as the employer. So we love it. Thanks.

Could you share a story or example of how Bchex’s background checks have positively impacted your school?

Holly Parks: One of the ways um Bchex, background checks has positively impacted our school is it's really allowed us to have all of our administrative assistance at all of our different buildings, be able to send a link, say field trip, they can send a link. Um People can apply for it. And then when it comes into that request side on our end and human resources, we know that we can put through, you know, we need five people for this field trip. So we know we can select five people put them through. Um It's just a really efficient way to run the background check system. So we can see all the names of the people who applied. We know how many we want to go through. Um And we can just submit them through and they come back in a short period of time, which is always great. Um Even if we do things last minute, it has just been awesome. So to have a last minute, um we had a last minute field trip at the end of the year where a parent got sick and couldn't come, we had to add in another person. Um So we quick sent him the link, they quick logged on, we pushed them through. We got it back within 48 hours, I think. Um And there's just no bottlenecks that um come up, the link is quick. The link is easy. We see it right away. We get the results right away. It's just a fast, easy process, which we love.

How quickly do you usually receive background check results from Bchex, and how has this timeliness benefited your school?

Holly Parks: Yeah, we, we've been receiving our background check results from Bchex, um, for sure, within 72 hours, I don't think we've ever had one take longer than that. Um, and what I love about it is it'll say, you know, right away, certain things come back right away and it'll say what they are and that they're completed and then, you know, like if there's one I'm waiting for, maybe that one's 48 hours and they give updates of when they think it will be done and it'll say like eta uh you know, this day or whatever. So it, it has been, we've had very quick results. Um, we haven't had any issues with any results when we do get them back. If they're completed, they're very clear that they're completed. Um, if there are issues, um, or maybe something that would be a potential denial. Um, how to read. That part of the background check is really easy to read on there. So it's just, it's just been a great process for us.

In what ways has partnering with Bchex enhanced the safety and security of your school environment?

Holly Parks: I think um Bchex has enhanced the safety and security of our school environment. Um In many ways, one way would be um the speed at which we can get a background check back. Um So it's just, it's really nice to know that if we send something in, we, we don't have to wait a week or two, which is how we used to have to wait for. Um, the other company we were working with, we really have fast responses which then guarantees that we know we have people that have been approved, we know they're ready to go, they're safe to be in our schools. Um So just, I think the quickness of the process, it's obviously a very efficient process. Um And so the fact that it's efficient and fast allows us to make sure, um there's no reason why we wouldn't do a background check for someone who wants to be in our schools. So we're very appreciative of that.

Can you describe a time when Bchex’s customer support team went above and beyond to assist you?

Holly Parks: Yeah. Um One time we had an employee who had logged in to or clicked on the link to complete a background check and their ID was not working um with the QR code from Bchex. So um it just was really great because what happened was there were instructions right on that page for the employee to see if your ID doesn't work. Um You can, I think, I believe she chatted with someone um that was available then and there and then they confirmed a verification of the identification. Um So she could continue. So that was just a great process where even though the feature didn't work for whatever reason, I think it was her ID. It was just really nice that there was a second option very clear and written out on that page that allowed her to keep going, connect with someone, do the chat um and be able to move forward. So it was super slick. Um And she still got it done and in great timing.
