Can you introduce yourself and describe your role at your school?

Brian Chatman: My name is Brian Chapman. I am the Director of Student Support Services at LEX and School District Two. in my role, uh I deal with all student services issues, the hearing office and uh volunteers. Uh and anything dealing with students and related programs falls under my role as a supervisor.

How has working with Bchex made your hiring process smoother and more efficient for teachers and staff at your school?

Brian Chatman: We actually use uh Bchex uh from bib as a background system, uh background checking system uh for volunteers. Uh And then every now and then we also use it uh if we have uh some staff that we want to run a background check on. And uh it's been excellent. Uh It's a good tool, easy to use. Very simple interface. Uh I have no issues with the checks. Uh Everything that's been on, it has been 100% correct. Uh And it's done wonders for me in uh in my department.

Could you share a story or example of how Bchex’s background checks have positively impacted your school?

Brian Chatman: Well, once again with the Bchex system, uh, it's very fast, very efficient, um, very cost-effective. Uh, um, it's been, it's been a pleasure working with the company and also the customer service piece, like I said, I've never had any problems with anything being wrong on the background check or anything being incorrect. So, uh, it's really made my job easy when it comes to doing background checks.

How quickly do you usually receive background check results from Bchex, and how has this timeliness benefited your school?

Brian Chatman: Uh, Bchex is a very fast turnaround. Um, anywhere from a day to two days. Uh, I've never had to sit back and, and just wait days or weeks for a background check to come back. As soon as our, our staff puts information in or that your person getting the background check puts it in. It's a very fast turnaround and I, I come to work and sometimes I have several, um, in my inbox or on my, my system. So, uh, it's very fast. I love it.

In what ways has partnering with Bchex enhanced the safety and security of your school environment?

Brian Chatman: Partner with Bchex has been perfect. Uh, when it comes to, uh, safety and security, uh I feel like the results we get are true. Um, the results are also very accurate and the good thing about it is, uh, it gives me a definite idea of who's coming in and you know what some of the, the background issues are that they had in the past. And, uh, the way that we receive our background checks has also made it very easy for me to talk to people who have, uh, negative checks and they want to talk about it. And, uh, I haven't had anybody debate anything or I haven't had anybody deny anything. So the way you get it in a format is real easy and it also makes it seamless when it comes to, uh, receiving it in time enough to, to make sure we get it back out to the schools.

Can you describe a time when Bchex’s customer support team went above and beyond to assist you?

Brian Chatman: Uh, Bchex has, uh, been, uh, it's been fine for me. Uh, I was, I work with Miss, uh, DiaPola. Uh, she calls, she checks on you. She also lets you know about new products. Uh, she also, you know, helped me learn how to use face and the web portal. Um, best customer service I've ever dealt with. Um, like I said, she gave me a call today and I'm gonna meet with her tomorrow to see how things are going. Uh, no hidden fees, no surprises. Um, I mean, I'm very pleased with the representative, uh, M DiaPola who calls us in Lexington too.
