Speaker: Faye Burnhill

Can you give 2 or 3 main improvements to your physical fitness since working with Ben? Relate this to your sport if possible.

Faye Burnhill: Hi there, I've been working with Ben bailey for over two years now and myself, I'm playing rugby and I power lift and the main two improvements, I would say is that I've been lifting a lot heavier in the time that I've been working with Ben, and then I'm also faster and a lot stronger in all aspects of my rugby, in open play, tackling, even passing.

How have you found Ben personally as a coach? Has he made the experience enjoyable?

Faye Burnhill: when I first started coaching Ben we were coaching on a one on one basis in person. Um This was over in new Zealand and then now we've both moved back to the U. K. We're doing online sessions and from earlier this year earlier last year we have been completely online because I was traveling around the country and I wasn't in Wellington where he was based. So we've had that experience of working online with each other for for a while and he is so attentive, every single we keep we communicate in some way. We communicate through the spreadsheets. He very much make sure that my needs are put first in the training sessions and my goals are always a priority. And yeah he's just knows how to how we can improve and get better, basically get better stronger, faster everything.

Why is Ben different to other S&C coaching/personal training you have or have had in the past?

Faye Burnhill: So I've been training for about 11 years now and I've had the opportunity to work with quite a few different personal trainers. As my dad has always had personal trainers, I used to work with him and obviously a lot of different coaches through rugby and I think in my personal opinion Ben is one of the best ones that I've worked with just because I think that he's grown up with sport, he's always wanting to learn more, like he's constantly reading a new book or he is just always educating himself on different exercises and different ways that we can improve our body and improve our even mental mindset around sport. He just constantly, constantly developing coach and you don't see that in a lot of people that they just want to keep getting better because you might have a degree under your belt and think that's it. But no, Ben just wants to be the best in his career and to work with him and to work with someone that has so much passion, it makes you passionate. I've become so passionate about learning like reading journals. Most of our zoom calls are talking about reading sports journals, but he's brilliant just because he knows his stuff and if you had any questions on anything and he didn't know it completely. He researched so much about it
