Why should new engineers look to certifications like ACE?
Certifications are a good start, a foundation where you want to try to learn where you're going to start and what, what you need to know to move forward. When you're looking at a lot of these certifications, they'll have a foundational training where they're an entry to start learning the terminology, learning the basic connectivity. The cloud is a different animal, of course, for us networking guys that are used to on-premises and everything else that we used to do. I always recommend those certification paths to just begin your journey. This way, you'll start to understand what you don't know and the other pieces will start coming back together.
Why should other network engineers expand their cloud knowledge with ACE?
I enjoyed ACE because it teaches about the cloud. It also encompasses the network and it encompassed everything that I needed to know to sort of move forward with cloud networking. So when I went through the ACE Program, you know, I enjoyed all that it covered, automation as well. So I recommend it to anybody else just because of that, because it gets you in the door. All aspects of it and with Aviatrix being a network product, it is network focused and for network guys like me, it was fantastic.
What is the benefit you see in achieving the ACE Design Expert certification?
Today was a little painful, it was difficult. It really keeps you on your toes. Aviatrix has a lot of options, a lot of things you can do. ACE Design Expert sort of brings all that into fruition. It's like, what can you do with your design, how much can you do with it and, and what you can do for your customers and consumers of your product? On my side, it was very challenging to present an architecture that can encompass all the different features that Aviatrix has. And I was glad for the opportunity to take this exam.
