Speaker: Robert Amdur, Professor, U. of Florida
Robert Amdur: Hello, this is Bob Amdur. I'm the point person for the ASTRO Journals panel session at this year's ASTRO Annual Meeting. This is going to be an interesting session in which the editors-in-chief of the three ASTRO Journals get practical advice on how to make it easier to get papers published in really any peer-reviewed journal, but specifically in the ASTRO Journals. I'm the editor-in-chief of Practical Radiation Oncology. I'll give a brief presentation on how to choose a topic for new submissions. Then Sue Yom for the Red Journal will talk about how to prepare tables and figures, and then Rachel Jimenez for Advances in Radiation Oncology will probably talk about how to respond to revision requests. This is going to be an interactive session with a lot of time for questions. Look forward to seeing you there and us learning together how to improve our peer-reviewed journals.
