Robert Amdur, MD: Hello, I'm Bobby Amdur, the Director of the ASTRO Journal Panel Session. The purpose of this session is to give you practical advice on how to increase your chances of getting papers published in peer reviewed journals in general, and the ASTRO Journal specifically. The participants who will be making presentations at this panel session are myself, Sue Yom and Rachel Jimenez, or the Editors-in- Chiefs of Practical Radiation Oncology. In my case, the Red Journal for Dr. Yom and Advances in Radiation Oncology, Dr. Jimenez. We will begin with some brief presentations. I'll be talking about how to choose a topic for an initial submission. Dr. Yom will talk about how to prepare tables and figures and Dr. Jimenez will probably talk about how to respond to a revision request. We will have plenty of time for questions and look forward to questions and discussions about any topic related to submitting papers and getting papers published in the ASTRO journals.
