Speaker: Rachel Jimenez, MD, Editor-in-Chief, Advances in Radiation Oncology

Rachel Jimenez, MD: Hi, I'm Rachel Jimenez, and I'm the Editor-in- Chief for Advances in Radiation Oncology. September 15th marks the start of Peer Review Week, and I'd like to take a moment to thank all of you across our incredible specialty, who generously donated your time and thoughtful expertise to review for Advances. I recognize that it can be challenging to dedicate time to academic scholarship, and your willingness to lend us some of that precious time is sincerely appreciated, both by myself and the entire editorial team. Advances is sustained by your efforts and collectively over the past year, those efforts have resulted in nearly a thousand individual manuscript reviews. Your careful input has real impact. It allows us to support our colleagues as they seek to refine research that elevates the visibility of radiation oncology and cancer care, and highlights the innovations that will define our field for the future. I wish I could thank each of you individually for your efforts, but given the hundreds of you who reviewed for the Journal this year, I'm confident I wouldn't finish before we assemble in San Francisco for ASTRO's Annual Meeting. So please accept my singular thanks, and if you will be in attendance for the meeting, please do come and say hello so that I have the opportunity to offer my gratitude in-person. Thanks so much again.
