Anthony Alanis: Hi, my name is Anthony Alanis. I'm a fourth year medical student from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. I am excited to be presenting the educational impact of an international radiation oncology student newsletter that I was fortunate to create with the help of many students from across the world who were interested in radiation oncology, but either did not have a home program for the specialty or lacked having resources available to learn about the specialty for the first time. So a lot of people who go into radiation oncology have, you know, some type of prior exposure to the field, maybe they worked as a radiation therapist or a dosimetrist or they have a faculty member at their school who was able to get them involved one way or another. But for people who, you know, could really benefit from having some type of scholarly activity to, you know, author something like a newsletter is something that is not available, until now. So we are very happy to provide this type of opportunity to students to author the newsletter and share it with their network of people they may know in the field of radiation oncology to demonstrate their interest in the field and their commitment to learning about the topic of radiation oncology. Yeah, I'm excited to be presenting a poster on this topic at the ASTRO 2024 conference. I am very, very excited to be seeing everyone there. Thank you so much.
