Alana: Hello, my name is Alana and I'm a flight attendant with American Airlines for the last almost 13 years. For most of my career, I've been based in Phoenix Arizona with the exception of during COVID when they involuntarily displaced me to Los Angeles, California. This displacement cost me tremendously. I was being forced to commute on airplanes to Los Angeles sometimes having to buy tickets because there was no space available and they also expected me to pay my own hotel costs while in base. American Airlines wanted us all to rally behind them and reach out to congressmen and senators to help save our industry to secure funding for the airline. And here we are five Christmases later without a contract and they are nowhere to be found. We need them to take care of us. They're always saying how they're here to take care of you on life's journey, but they won't even take care of their employees. How are they going to take care of you?
