How would you describe Arkiplan in three words?
Adam Brown: um, I would say modern, um, efficient and accessible. Um, they all sort of linked together to sort of build a picture of, uh, of how it's been using the online system, the portal and very easy to use. Yeah.
What renovation work did Arkiplan help you with?
Adam Brown: uh, So we had, uh, plans drawn up for an extension and conversion to an already existing A very, very old, um, kitchen extension to the rear of our property. Um, it was very dark and very dingy and very dated and damp. And we wanted something that was bigger, um, more modern and basically more comfortable and airy to sit in,
Can you briefly summarise your Arkiplan journey from start to finish?
Adam Brown: um, so we paid for the package online. Um, everything is got a nice online base that to to come back to and update and receive everything. Um, so we did that first. Then we had a couple of on boarding phone calls just to make sure that we understood everything. Um, we're clear on how it works. Uh, what was gonna come out of it? Um, And then we submitted the stuff through the portal, put everything up there to make sure, um, everything was available for our architect to produce what we needed. Um, and then it was basically just working with our architect, uh, to make sure that the the final product was something that we were we were both happy with and was usable. Um, and it's linked quite nicely with submitting all the stuff to the council to get the permissions that we needed easily. So there was, um, as little work to be done as possible on our on our side
Can we see your finished project?
Adam Brown: the, uh I'm afraid not. Because we have now moved home to a different place, so we can't actually show you it. Uh, so, yeah, sorry about that. But we, uh we don't live there anymore.
Would you recommend Arkiplan to other homeowners who are planning an extension or renovation project?
Adam Brown: Uh, yes, I definitely would. Uh, this was our first time actually hiring an architect, so it's quite a daunting process. But, um, being able to have that online hub to to do everything and, uh, to be able to submit and use a very easy and streamlined system sort of takes away the anxiety of having to go through various individual, uh, companies and, you know, phone up people and get quotes and stuff when everything is just so easy to just sort of pick a package, pay for the package, know what you're going to get, uh, and then have, uh, that online, um, portal to see everything happening in real time. It gives you the sort of security that you know what you're gonna get.
