Tell us a little bit about yourself
Jim: My name is Jim. I'm a retired auto mechanic. I am in my early sixties. And well, that's about it. Yeah. No interest or anything. Well, I like working on wood, wood working. Ok. There you go. Not working on cars anymore.
Tell us about your diagnosis
Jim: Well, for, I figured the last 20 years or so I was misdiagnosed on my breathing problems. And in the last year or so I've been properly diagnosed and my breathing has improved. I'd say easily 90%. Now. Was it easy to get diagnosed? It was very easy. It was plain and simple and pretty much straightforward. Ok. So what did, what were you told at that time at that time? I was told that it, it could be a narrowing of my trachea tubes and that could be part of the problem with either COPD or asthma. Ok.
How has your life changed since your diagnosis?
Jim: Well, since I've got the proper diagnosis and I'm taking the proper medicines. I find that my breathing has improved a lot. I'm sleeping better. I don't wake up in the middle of the night as often as I used to and I don't have to use as much of the breathing medicine. Yeah. Like the blue one. The Ventolin. Yeah. Ventolin. I don't have to use that hardly ever. Awesome.
How has Best Care impacted your life?
Jim: Well, there are so many ways that it has improved my life that I, I take a long time to tell you it all, but I'm gonna start with simple ones. Like I say, my breathing is better. I feel like I'm getting better care than I was before. And I, I find that the people that I've seen are very personable and very nice to visit. Awesome. Now, have you learned anything through Best Care? Yes, I have. I've learned that, I was doing my breathing medication in the wrong way and now I know how to do it the right way because I was taught with a, breathing chamber, the proper way to do the medicine. And that has made a big improvement in my breathing. Awesome.
Do you have a message for others about the Best Care program?
Jim: I have a message for anyone else there out there that has a breathing problem. Every doctor's office should have a clinic like this that helps people diagnosed for breathing problems, get properly diagnosed and it should be in every doctor's office throughout the country.
