Eric Olson: I'm Eric Olson, product marketing manager here at Arcules. I've been attending ISC WEST since back in 2006. So, minus a few years here and there and without doing the exact math, I think this will be my 17th ISC West.
What are you most excited about at ISC West this year?
Eric Olson: So without sounding too cliche, I think I'm most excited about the AI. Technology is moving so fast. I'm excited to see all the new ways that the security industry is leveraging this new technology. It's also great to have some in real life interaction with partners and customers that you've been Zooming with all year long. It's nice to just have that chance to shake that person's hand and just have an in person conversation.
What is included in your ISC West survivor kit?
Eric Olson: So the most important item in my ISC West survival kit has to be my daily Aleve. It doesn't matter how many ISC West shows you've been to. It never gets any easier on your feet and lower back. So make sure you have your favorite over the counter pain reliever.
How can attendees make the most out of ISC West this year?
Eric Olson: So my suggestion to make the most out of ISC West is to have a plan know ahead of time what technologies you want to learn about, which companies you want to meet with, what's their booth number, what questions you need to get answered, who do you need to meet with, And do you need to have a meeting set up in advance to meet with that person? ISC West may seem like a long show but it goes really fast. Having a plan will help you keep on track and let you get the most out of the show.
What is one word you would use to describe ISCW?
Eric Olson: Must attend.
Why should people attend ISC West?
Eric Olson: There is no better place to learn about new technologies in the security world. Meet people who are making that technology happen and get all your questions answered. If you can only go to one show this year, ISC West is really the one you need to attend.
