Andrew Deem: Hi, my name is Andrew Deem. I'm the Senior UX Designer at Arcules. This is gonna be my first ISC West and I'm very excited to go and speak about decision intelligence and and AI and how it affects our industry. And I'm excited to go learn from everybody else that's there and see the other vendors and products and learn about what's going on in security this year.
What are you most excited about at ISC West this year?
Andrew Deem: I'm most excited to participate in the SIA Education Series. I think there's a lot of really exciting things happening in video surveillance that are really going beyond video. We're getting to do really powerful things with AI, we're getting to do powerful things with cloud computing and edge computing and all these really exciting new pieces of hardware. And as a UX designer, I'm excited to see how they can influence these new emerging concepts like decision intelligence. And so I'm thrilled to be part of a panel to get to talk about this with some really smart and talented people and hopefully I'll learn from them too.
What is included in your ISC West survivor kit?
Andrew Deem: So, my ISC West survivor kit is gonna be my best pair of running shoes. I haven't been to a trade show since before the pandemic in 2020. So I'm not sure if I'm ready to get all over Vegas and to do it very quickly. So I think it's going to be a good pair of shoes.
How can attendees make the most out of ISC West this year?
Andrew Deem: So I think folks can make the most out of ISC West by going and starting conversations. You know, I'm somebody who I love remote work and that's a great thing for me to do kind of day to day. But when we're all going to be together and we can all ask questions and learn from each other and see new products and, you know, have that face to face interaction. I think we have to take advantage. So that would be my advice is go and start lots of conversations.
What is one word you would use to describe ISCW?
Andrew Deem: Inspiring.
Why should people attend ISC West?
Andrew Deem: I think folks should come to ISC West to hear the speakers and learn some things, have some discussions, see what's kind of exciting and new and different in our industry this year.
