Who are you, what is your occupation, how many years have you been doing it, and why did you get into your career?
Hi, my name is Suzanne Reid, and I wanted to chat with you a few minutes about financial planning and retirement, and I have or had been in the medical field, working for Mercy Healthcare, Dignity Health for About 20 years and had been putting money into the 401 uh plan that they offered at the time. And so I initially, you know, was putting the the 6% and they matched it and then I started kind of thinking about it. I thought 6%, boy, that's not going to add up really fast and You know, my goal in retirement is would at that time was, you know, I wanted to have enough income on a monthly basis to pay the bills and you know, take care of. Necessities, but also be able to travel and have some fun, uh, without dipping into my our our investments. And so, You know I kind of was looking into it and it's so overwhelming because there's just so many options, and I thought, golly, you know, and then I was talking to my son, Chris, and Chris had been in the industry, but for and he at that time was helping a lot of teachers, and he was talking to me about it, and he was helping them with their retirement plans, and all of a sudden I thought, whoa, hey, here, here's my resource right in front of me, and I hadn't paid attention, I guess. I just didn't realize that, you know, he always referred to it as insurance. Well, it it is insurance, but it was planning for the future too. And so anyway, I said, I need your help, you know, and so we laid out everything, and he took a look at it and uh went back and he was able to find a um A plan for me that I could transfer all my money out of the 401k and what it was was, a Guaranteed income writer, and it gave me a good interest rate and it continued to earn interest on the remaining balance after I would withdraw. So, We went with this program and I have been very happy and Chris was so helpful. I mean, he went back, did all the research, took a look at it, figured out the best plan, we looked at it, we talked about it. He helped transfer all the funds, get everything settled so that it was into this program and I was sad I have been very, very happy with this and uh it has. It was beyond my expectations, to be honest with you, and you know, being in the health industry, there's so many different options out there, having a financial planner and having somebody that is in the industry that knows what's out there, what's available.
