Y. Jones: And at the end of the day, Joe did just that.
Who are you, what is your occupation, how many years have you been doing it, and why did you get into your career? (60 seconds max)
Y. Jones: Hi, I'm Camille, and I'm representing my parents. My dad was a university professor in the Alabama school system for approximately 40 years.
Before working with us, what did you know (or not know) about your pension, retirement, and insurance benefits?
Y. Jones: Before working with the team, the appreciation team, I did have some, knowledge about pension and retirement, due to my dad really sharing a lot of that with me in terms of his expectation and his plan. Was an ag economist and so he knew a lot about that arena and had specific things in mind for his pension.
What changed since meeting with us, and how did we help you feel more confident about your financial future?
Y. Jones: Quite interestingly. What changed is our confidence in having someone that we trusted, someone that knew what they were doing, and really had the heart of the people in mind. We were previously working with an advisor who we ended up not trusting, who lost the, check that was paid out by the. Retirement system of Alabama that was being to be invested in the actual annuity that we were purchasing. He couldn't find the check. And not only that, he told us certain things about the process that didn't turn out to be true. And in fact, we got so far within the process that, we had to cancel the annuity contract. We then found through friends, I said, I need someone I trust. I need someone that can work quickly. I need someone that knows the system and can put my mom to ease and my mom's mind to ease. And we found Joe and Joe and his team knocked it clear out the park.

Y. Jones: Having had that previous experience with an advisor that was not associated with the appreciation team, It really was important for Joe to win my mother's confidence, help her to feel comfortable, help her to be clear about what needed to happen, what the steps would look like, how long the steps would take, and, as well, produce. And at the end of the day, Joe did just that. He made my mother in one phone call, feel comfortable and confident in everything that she asked and requested from an advisor.
