Who are you, what is your occupation, how many years have you been doing it, and why did you get into your career? (60 seconds max)
Oluwakemi Omar: I'm Kimmi Omar. I'm a teacher. I've been doing this for 15 years. This is gonna be my 16th year of teaching. I got into teaching because I love watching students grow. I love watching them go from, especially in math. I teach algebra, watching them go from not understanding to completely being confident and being able to excel in math.
Before working with us, what did you know (or not know) about your pension, retirement, and insurance benefits? (60 seconds max)
Oluwakemi Omar: Before working with Appreciation Financial, I think I had basic knowledge of, pension, retirement, insurance benefits. Insurance benefits, I think, my specific insurance company was very good about, answering questions about it. However, retirement, I had basic knowledge just that, I know that I had TRS, which most all teachers have once they start teaching. They started accumulating money there, but I didn't know, the other features of, what are retirement accounts or An IUL could offer.
What changed since meeting with us, and how did we help you feel more confident about your financial future? (60 seconds max)
Oluwakemi Omar: So, a lot has changed with my financial future. Now I feel like I'm more equipped for the future. Not only with family planning, Mr. Lewis James really took the time to make sure that, my goals would be met with my family planning through the IUL account. So it's not only gonna serve me with life insurance, but it can also serve me, with family planning in the future as well as, knowing that I wanted to have an account where I can grow my money. He was able to set up a growth driver account where I am able to earn way more interest than I earned with a CD account or with a, money market account. So I was really glad that he took the time to understand what I'm interested in with my finances, not just for now, but for the future.

Oluwakemi Omar: I would definitely recommend Mr. Lewis James because he really takes the time to listen, to understand where you are right now and where you plan to go in the future with your finances, with your family, with your career. He really helps you to get educated about what retirement could look like for you in the future and how to make sure that You are well taken care of when you retire. He helps you understand, like almost if you talk to him like the history of your finances and then it helps you to plan better for the future of your finances. And, I feel like he's really invested in learning who people are and he sees you as a person and not as a number and he makes sure that everything that he sets up for you will meet your needs, not just for now, but also for the future and not only just for you, but for your family. I even have now access to A certain company now through the IOL account that's able to help me with my mom.
