Greg Savage: You know that 80% of recruitment companies in the world have less than 10 staff. That is a fact. And I would say that most of those have less than 5 staff and if you're a business of less than 5 staff you're a lifestyle business. And when I say lifestyle business, I don't mean you, you're cruising, I just mean you're building a business that's gonna provide you a good income, but it has no value as an asset and that might be ok. You know if you don't want to build a big business and take the risk and do the work and evolve from being a recruiter to a leader, then that's your right to make that decision. But, just understand that one day you're just gonna lock the door and walk away, no one will buy anything. So, if you're building a lifestyle business where your own billing efforts are important, well then you don't really need to work that much on the business. Sure. you've got to do some planning and some strategising, but not much. But, if you're building a sustainable business that has a value at exit, then you need to apply discipline to where your time is spent. You need to do that right at the beginning of the journey.
