Greg Savage: I encourage a three year vision, so we know what we're looking for. I like it to be a stretch, but not ridiculous. Most of them are ridiculous. But, I like much more than that what I call a Christmas Day goal. Now, a Christmas Day goal doesn't have to be Christmas Day. It can be New Year's Day. It could be ANZAC Day. It's just a day that's somewhere between 8 and 12 months in the future. So, you could see a Christmas Day goal now. I love it. So we sit around and say "OK, we're gonna build a temp business." What's our Christmas Day goal? And the debate will rage. "Well, we're gonna hire 6 recruiters." Says somebody "Really, by Christmas Day? that's that salaries of half a million, 8 months away, 9 months away." "OK, we're gonna have 2." "Is everyone agreed?" "Yes, we're gonna have 2." This is the plan, it's empirical, it's measurable. So, at the end of that meeting, we've got a plan to to hire 2 temp recruiters We're gonna install a new ATS and we're gonna open a Brisbane office by Christmas Day. "Mary, The ATS is yours. Bob, Brisbane's your baby. You hire a person, get it going and whoever else you do. the other thing. We'll meet in 4 weeks to revise and I want your presentations on what we're gonna do."
