Tom Dixon: Hi, I'm Tom Dixon, Owner and Dog trainer for A+ Canine Performance. It's been about five years or so since I finished up the obedience trainer program with Animal Behavior College. And you know what, it's something that really helped my career take off like a rocket. I left the program and immediately started my own business and I felt like I had the knowledge to do so, not only the knowledge of how to train dogs, which is the obvious part, but also I had the knowledge of how to run a dog training business, which is a little different than a lot of other businesses. And, today I don't pay for any advertising. I learned, ways to, to network and find ways to get recommended and that's all stuff I learned through Animal Behavior College. And it's fantastic. Today, I have two other trainers that work with the company. We work with obedience and problem behaviors and we've had some great success. I personally owe that success to Animal Behavior College. I learned a lot from the books. Obviously, I quote a lot of that stuff every day to my clients. But beyond that, the externship, being able to work with someone, one on one and really get that, that, that knowledge from someone and make sure that I'm applying it properly was excellent. But also the volunteer hours gave me the opportunity to get out there and actually work with some dogs and apply this knowledge, make sure I can do it on my own. I continued on a little while after that as well just because I wanted to keep honing the skills by the time I got out there and I had my first client, I felt confident, I felt great and I have Animal Behavior College to thank for that. So I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking to get into the dog training business.
