Speaker: Matteo Colombo, Student; Optimistic

Your Name, what brought you to Regis?

Matteo Colombo: Hey, everybody. My name is Matteo Colombo. I'm an international student from Italy, and what brought me here was soccer, because I was playing soccer back home and I always wanted to study and combine athletics together, so the US was the best place. They gave me an offer here at Regis University that I couldn't refuse, and that's why I'm here.

Chose a word to describe yourself. (e.g., innovator, leader, immigrant, etc.) Why did you choose this word?

Matteo Colombo: A word that described myself is optimistic. I believe I'm an optimistic person and I believe, and I, and I do this, of course, in, in everyday life, in every situation ever experienced, I try to see the good part and why it happened, and I believe that everything happens for a reason. So being optimistic, I think it helps a lot and not only, but I know that everything is gonna be fine, you know, I'm optimistic, whatever happens, I know it happens for a reason and I can achieve and do anything that I want in my life. If I just, I'm happy, I try to be positive and optimistic. So, yeah.

How does that word fit with your experience at Anderson College of Business and Computing?

Matteo Colombo: How does the word optimistic fit in the experience of the Anderson College of Business and Computing? My experience. So, if it's, because I can say, because of the classes, because of the homework, because of the exams, I'm optimistic that I'm gonna do well, I'm gonna get a good grade. I'm optimistic that I'm gonna have good teachers. I'm optimistic that I'm gonna use this information, let's hope so, in the outside world, for example, in the business, in the job that I'm gonna have after I graduate. So, yeah, I'm optimistic in anything that happens in the Anderson College of Business and Computing regarding my exams, homework, teachers, classes and grades, you know.
