Speaker: Francis Kilroy, Student; Outgoing

Your Name, what brought you to Regis?

Francis Kilroy: Um, I'm Francis Kilroy, and the main reason why I came out here to Regis was because, uh, I didn't want to stay in New Orleans, in the same city, and I wanted to try something new. Uh, my aunt and uncle live here and, uh, they recommended Regis as a place to come and visit. I visited, loved the campus, and decided that I wanted to come here. Also, got a good amount of, uh, scholarship money, so that helped too.

Chose a word to describe yourself. (e.g., innovator, leader, immigrant, etc.) Why did you choose this word?

Francis Kilroy: I would probably use the word outgoing to describe myself. Uh, I like to think that I'm pretty good with communication, and people seem to like me most of the time, so that's usually good, and, uh, I just like to have a good time. I like to get to know people, new people and stuff like that. So, yeah, I'd probably use that.

How does that word fit with your experience at Anderson College of Business and Computing?

Francis Kilroy: I think for me and, uh, the business school, I think, uh, being outgoing is pretty important, just getting a good rep with your professors. You know, they can, uh, get you set up with either, you know, a, uh recommendation, a letter of recommendation, potentially set you up with other people for a job or an internship and stuff like that. I think, just learning how to communicate and getting connections is a really important part of business itself, so being outgoing is pretty helpful.
