Speaker: Colleen Ceyssens, Advisor; Encourager

Your Name, what brought you to Regis

Colleen Ceyssens: Hi, my name is Colleen Ceyssens, and I am a current advisor in Anderson College of Business and Computing. I've been with Anderson for almost two years now. Um, and my favorite thing, I'm an advisor, and I love working with students from the moment they start with Anderson through to they graduate, um, due to when they graduate, um. I love, um, get, walking with them and kind of helping them through the Regis stuff, and so they can concentrate, the students can concentrate on, um, learning what it means to be a business student and going out into business, or a computing student and going out into computing, and I will help them figure out all of the Regis stuff. So that's where my expertise comes in. Um, cura personalis is so important, care of the whole person is so important, and that's what I believe we do as advisors. Thank you.

Chose a word to describe yourself. (e.g., innovator, leader, immigrant, etc.) Why did you choose this word?

Colleen Ceyssens: I would say I'm an encourager. I love to work with students from the moment they start with Anderson through to graduation, and watch them walk across the stage, and feel so proud of what they've accomplished. Um, I always tell students, you're going to be the expert in accounting or software engineering or business, whatever. Um, and I will help you with the Regis stuff along the way and help you understand why. Um, so I'm an encourager and really thankful that I'm able to provide the cura personalis to all of our students.
