Speaker: Patrick Kennedy, Student; Confident

Your Name, what brought you to Regis?

Patrick Kennedy: Hi there. My name is Patrick Kennedy, and what brought me to Regis, uh, was a lot of family connections I had. So in my immediate family, I had an older sister that played volleyball here for three years and had some success as a volleyball player. Uh, and my dad also got his master's here. Um, outside of my immediate family, I had a cousin that played baseball here, another cousin that went here just as a student, had an uncle that worked here for 30 plus years, had two grandparents that worked here for 30 plus years, um, had an uncle that played baseball here, and had a great-uncle that coached baseball here. So the family connections, as well as an opportunity I had to play baseball here is really what drew me to Regis, and part of the reason I really love the school.

Chose a word to describe yourself. (e.g., innovator, leader, immigrant, etc.) Why did you choose this word?

Patrick Kennedy: One word I would use to describe myself is confident, and this characteristic, I think I gained through my time as an athlete, because in order to have success on the field, you have to have confidence. And I feel like this characteristic, a, applies to not only sports but all aspects of life, you know, work, school, job, and so yeah, confidence can get you far.

How does that word fit with your experience at Anderson College of Business and Computing?

Patrick Kennedy: Um, as I mentioned prior, confidence contributes to a lot of aspects in life including school. And I think, uh, with my experience at the Anderson College of Business and Computing, uh, I really needed confidence with, um, tests and presentations, and I think, um, this really contributed to my confidence outside of school, um, as a coach and with interviews going forward.
