Speaker: Riona McGuire, Student; Hard-Working

Your Name, what brought you to Regis?

Riona McGuire: Hello, my name is Riona McGuire and I'm a first year marketing student here at Regis. I want to share with you some reasons why I chose Regis. The first one is the reviews were great. I looked at this website called Niche. Niche is a website that allows for students to review colleges on different things such as difficulty, academics, teachers, food, et cetera. Great teachers were the main things I noticed on those reviews. Everyone said it was the teachers who made it an amazing school, and I really have found that to be true. Secondly, it's a small Jesuit school. Regis is only about 4,000 students, and I loved the idea of knowing everyone on campus and be able to go anywhere in five minutes. I also love that, it's a Jesuit University, because I am Catholic and line up with a lot of the beliefs, so I wanted the school to reflect that. Lastly, I loved the campus when I toured it, because of the Hogwarts feeling and the campus vibe.

Chose a word to describe yourself. (e.g., innovator, leader, immigrant, etc.) Why did you choose this word?

Riona McGuire: The word I think that describes me very well, is hard-working. I am a student who is very organized in everything I do. I am very proactive and I really take time in doing all my school work to make sure I really learn the material. Even when I'm not in school, I work extremely hard because I want the best results.

How does that word fit with your experience at Anderson College of Business and Computing?

Riona McGuire: The word hard working fits in with my experience at the Anderson College of Business and Computer Science is because you really need to be hard working to be successful. This is not an extremely easy school, so you need to be focused on your academics and work hard to get the things you strive for. And I think the Anderson College of Business and Computer school is the same way.
