Speaker: Jonathan Gebretsadik, Student; Industrious

Your Name, what brought you to Regis?

Jonathan Gebretsadik: Ok. Um, my name is Jonathan Grebrestadik, and what brought me to Regis was, um, well, basically not just one reason, it was, uh, different reasons why I did choose Regis. Um, first one was location, like I wanted to stay local and, uh, not go out of state or anywhere. I just wanted to stay in state. And the second one was their business program that they offer was really good. And another one was, I did have friends that went here and recommended it, and said it was good. So I chose Regis for that reason.

Chose a word to describe yourself. (e.g., innovator, leader, immigrant, etc.) Why did you choose this word?

Jonathan Gebretsadik: So if I did have a word to describe myself as a person and why I would choose it would be, well, the word would be industrious. And uh, the reason I would choose this word is because, um, in different aspects in sports, school, academics, athletics, I'm always, you know, like striving to be my best in different aspects, which could be working in extra hours or getting extra help from professors and during office hours and also additional training sessions in sports. And I think this enabled me to use industrious as the word to describe me. So yeah, industrious.

How does that word fit with your experience at Anderson College of Business and Computing?

Jonathan Gebretsadik: Um how that word industrious kind of fits in with that experience in Anderson College of Business and Computer Science is well, I mean, I am again in the business field, so I'm learning as much as I can and, you know, learning how to not only use those skills but how to use them, you know, in a more resourceful and wise way, that way you can teach it to other people as well. So I think that we're industrious, you know, getting an extra help from professors during office hours or that stuff like that for, you know, improving my grade in the courses, not only for improving my grade, but also as a learning tool to see and like how I'm able to use those essentials that I learned from that course in a, in a business class in Anderson College of Business to see how I'm gonna apply that in the real world. Like once I'm done graduating and stuff like that.
