Speaker: Charles Henninger, Student; Explorer

Your Name, what brought you to Regis?

Charles Henninger: Hi there. My name is Charlie Henninger and I'm currently 4th year at Regis University's Anderson School of Business. I came to Regis University originally for three main reasons. I was looking for a small school, one that's affordable and one with a presence in the community. And as someone from Denver, I found that Regis checked all three of those boxes, and I'm incredibly glad I made this decision.

Chose a word to describe yourself. (e.g., innovator, leader, immigrant, etc.) Why did you choose this word?

Charles Henninger: All right. I've been asked to describe myself in one word. That's really hard. There are a lot of words, but if I had to pick one, I pick one that applies to both myself and every student at Regis University, that word is Discoverer or Explorer, if you prefer. Every student here is gonna take the four years to uncover the people around them, to uncover the community, to uncover the city, and also to uncover themselves. And for that reason, if you're a student, especially a student here, you're gonna be an explorer.

How does that word fit with your experience at Anderson College of Business and Computing?

Charles Henninger: How does that word fit with your experience at the Anderson College of Business and Computer Science. The word I chose was Explorer. How does this Explorer fit there? Well, I mentioned that it, it works for every student but it really works at Anderson because if you're going to be, say a business admin major or you're a marketing major or you're a computer science major, whatever it is, you're gonna be surveying a bunch of different types of classes for your major. I'm a finance major. I've taken uh B.A. classes, taken communication classes. I've taken marketing classes All these different things help you develop a more holistic understanding of whatever your chosen field is. And that's sort of what comes with being an Explorer.
