Hi there, I'm Mike from American Student Assistance. Thank you so much for participating in our pathways to careers, video challenge and partnership with jobs for the future. We want to hear about your participation in a non degree education program and the impact that that's had on your life. We created this video challenge to help students who are still in high school or maybe even younger, learn about your journey and choosing your path to a career. This problems will focus on how you approach conversations with your parents or guardians about your chosen pathway. And there are three specific things we'd like you to address here. One, describe the conversation you had with your parents or guardians about choosing a non degree path. Two. How did you prepare for that conversation? An example of this could be doing some research on high paying jobs that don't require a degree. And three, what was your most powerful argument? For example, maybe you shared a positive story from a friend who pursued a non degree pathway or maybe you talked about your passion and how you research the best route to achieve your goals, whatever the case may be we want to know what you said to your parents or guardians to convince them that this was the right path for you.
