Jodi Baker, O.D.: The moment I always take home from AOA+ events is Leadership Link. That's the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of AOA+, and that's really to me like the essential heart of what AOA+ is—is getting that connection, getting one-on-one time, and making lasting connections. So I was lucky enough to be part of the first AOA+ big session in D.C., gosh, 7 or so years ago, and it was kind of intimidating. I've been to Optometry's Meetings before and it was like, do I just go to lectures? Sit with the doctors? OK, I'm learning some of this class, some of it's over my head if you weren't far enough along. So, having education that was tailored to you and meeting you as a student, really made it an engaging event and made you more comfortable kind of getting in those classrooms, getting into CEs, and learning everything we have to offer here.
