CeCe Miller: Professionally. the Leadership Institute 2.0 helped me to reinforce the importance of educating our patients. Every day I see so many patients and being able to tell them that I not only check to make sure that they have the best vision that they can have, but I also check their eyes for over 270 diseases that can affect the rest of their body and being able to communicate that with my patients. Well, every day has really helped me to be a better clinician and a better optometric physician.
CeCe Miller: The one word that I would use to describe my experience was cohort. I am a cool blue and so I'm usually very much an individual but working with our cohort and working with optometrists from all around my area was really important to me. And it helped me to remember that sometimes working in a team is really important and learning a lot of different viewpoints is also really important and, and helps you grow and helps you learn as a person.
