Andrea Thau: The graduates of the American Optometric Association's Leadership Institute have benefited from the program in so many ways. It's wonderful to see the relationships that they formed across the country with the other members of the Leadership Institute that were in their class. And even more so, really exciting to see them flourish both professionally and individually. Many of them have stepped up to leadership positions within their state associations and quite a number of them have been recognized as their Young OD of the Year in their state. I am so excited to see what they have accomplished already and what's yet to come.
Andrea Thau: The American Optometric Association's Leadership Institute helps us find and reach every single member and help them develop to the best of their potential. Our profession relies on really strong leadership and we have a whole cadre of people who are willing to step up as leaders. But we need to expand that to include the most diverse group of leaders. And hopefully each and every member can contribute in some way. The AOA's Leadership Institute gives our members the tools that they need and the confidence to step forward and lead and advance our profession today tomorrow and into the future.
