Amber Dunn, O.D.: Remember a time, not that long ago, that everyone was using the term "better together." What happened to that? We need our community to function optimally. My hope for our profession in 2024 and beyond is that we can come together and unite a solid unit, can accomplish anything.
Amber Dunn, O.D.: Volunteering to me is a non-negotiable. It provides me with community, a deeper sense of purpose and it allows me to be an inspiration to others. We're all on our own journey, but we've worked tirelessly to get where we are in this profession. And without volunteers, we are leaving our profession in the hands of others. So just think about that.
