What products/services do you provide, and why did you choose to do this for your income generating activity?
Silver Henderson : So the reason why I chose a 3D printing business for my IGA was because, when little kids wouldn come over to my house, they'd be immediately drawn to these really cool animals and dragons that I 3D printed. And I soon realized that this would be an amazing opportunity to become a business.
About how many sales have you made since the Entrepreneurship unit began? About how much profit have you made?
Silver Henderson : From my 3D printing business I have made 50 sales and $753 in profit.
Choose two Rules of Thumb you've learned in class that you've applied to your IGA. Explain how you applied each of them, and the outcomes.
Silver Henderson : The two Rules of Thumb that I've applied most often to my IGA are: One - Buying in Bulk. Buying in bulk has really helped me save money because when I buy more of the filament, they give me a discount and that really helps me. And second, Buy Low and Sell High. I can buy the files off Etsy for about $2.50 and I can sell the product for about $15. And because I have applied both of these rules in my business, my business is flourishing and I'm loving it.
