Speaker: Simon Berger, Clinical Pharmacologist II, Vertex Pharmaceuticals
Please, introduce yourself, tell us what your experience in the program was like & how it has prepared you to lead in the future.
Simon Berger: My name is Simon Berger and I'm currently working for Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. in the capacity of a Clinical Pharmacologist. I feel honored and want to extend my gratitude to ACCP for being selected to participate in the ACCP Leadership Development Program. At the time when the program first launched, actually, I was still a PhD candidate and this program has successfully supported me through the transition into my first post graduation role. While my graduate program of course equipped me with a vast amount of knowledge and how hard skills ACCP has always complemented my education with soft skills. And I'm excited now to be adding leadership skills to the list. I was fortunate enough to realize the value of good mentorship throughout my studies and early career. And the Leadership Development Program has now put me in the best possible position to become an efficient mentor for others. I also hope that I can take on more responsibility for ACCP in the upcoming years.
