Our Culture
What is it like? How has it contributed to your growth.
Christopher Tiner : Everybody's been great here. It's been an open door, you have access to, to people, people's emails. Any question is, is, you know, answerable. Uh and you can approach anybody. So, uh but
Keith Rucker: One way culture has supported my growth with all my sons is just the uh numerous uh resources throughout the company. Uh I would say if you talk to almost anybody, even the higher ups, they all have a similar background to those in the local offices. Um And it really goes a long way and shows you what you can accomplish and achieve when you see another person looking back at you who was once in the same exact seat as you. That's definitely one way that culture um has affected my growth and seeing growth around me has affected my growth.
Larry Myers: it's a, a company of uh competition, a company of uh of empowerment. And we, we just work together to grow and, and we push each other to be the best that we can be stone sharpened stone. That's all my sons.
Christopher Tiner : and that's what this job and a lot of the managers and drivers and coworkers, um people older than me people younger than me uh have taught me to, to be humble, slow down a little bit care about people first and then everything else will follow. So I think that that's the biggest thing that, that the culture of this company uh has instilled in me, has taught me. So.
Training and Development
How have the training and development programs provided by AMS contributed to your growth?
Larry Myers: All my sons has a lot of training that goes just beyond the initial hiring training, the the training that we get, the supplemental training from our safety team, the supplemental training we get from our uh field managers and, and things like that definitely help us out. But more importantly that the training
Michael Dunne: When I first started here with the company, I had no knowledge of moving. I had never worked for a moving company before. All my sons took me in and they quickly showed me what it's like to do quality work and get paid great while doing it.
Christopher Tiner : Training and development at all. My sons is outstanding. Um, I've been in the moving business all my life since I was about 17 years. So about 38 years, 3738 years back then it was a, a clipboard and, you know, a pencil, a calculator, a roll of quarters or a beep or a pay phone, things like that. But, um, technology has been great. It's given us the ability to be more efficient, more productive. Uh, there's new technology coming out all the time. Um, and sometimes it can be a little daunting for, for someone as myself, you know, that's a little bit older. But, uh, if you get right in there and, and, and get into it and pay attention to, to what's going on and listen, then, uh, the training and development with this company is going to help you out immensely. Uh Everybody's been very kind, everybody's always been able to answer questions that I've had. It's an extension away, a phone call away. And, uh, I've never had a bad experience uh, within all my sons when it comes to training and development
Earn Well and Progress
Tell us about your journey with AMS.
James Grubbs: Hello, my name is James Grubbs. I'm an assistant operations manager here at all my sons, moving and storage in Pensacola. Um, so I started with all my sons back in April of 2018. I came on board as a driver. I really enjoyed being a driver. Um, got to work early every day, got to pick my operations manager. Uh Clay Morgan got to pick his brain a lot, kind of learn a lot about the business. Um One of the things that Clay always used to tell me every day when I'd come into work is be the best that you can be every day and good things will happen for you. And that's kind of the direction I ran with it. Um, did the driver role for about a year and then I was able to get promoted to an inside sales manager. Um I did that for about a year as well. I really enjoyed sales, um, felt like I excelled at it. Um, you know, I was able to uh book a lot of work for our team and provide for their families and it just really felt good doing that. And then, um the operational role for A OM came open here. Um, a little less than a year after I was promoted to a sales manager. So I, I jumped all over it because I had a lot of experience with Home Depot prior to all my sons being in operation. So I'd always wanted to kind of gear back towards that with my career path. So, um, I was selected to become an A OM here in Pensacola and I've been doing it ever since.
Antwone Moore: Hello, my name is Antoine Moore. Uh Coming to you, just give me a little bit of information about myself. Uh, my progression in all my sons, I started off as a driver in June 1520 20. Um I pretty much gave my all followed all the, you know, the criterias and, you know, was really good with customers, things like that. I was a driver for about 2.5 months. Uh, after that time I got promoted to AOM assistant operations manager. Um, I was assistant operations manager for about three years. I had a really good mentor. He pretty much showed me the ropes, um, told me exactly all the do's and the don't of the, the business. Um, it's really good for me. That's how I actually started off with this company.
Howard Gomez: Um So I filled out an application on indeed, and I've seen a warehouse position available there. And of course, I took that opportunity, got the job um was a warehouse manager here for about, I would say a year. Um and through hard work and dedication, I eventually became an assistant operational manager here, which I am now currently.
You can do it!
What advice would you give to someone looking to take the next steps at All My Sons?
James Grubbs: Um Have a, have a good mind or a good career path in mind that you want to go with the company because we're a very big drilling company, um that does take care of their people. All my sons has taken very good care of me and my family over the years, I'm proud to work for all my sons and I look forward to uh what lies ahead for me in the future with all my sons.
