Melissa: My favorite part of working with Affect would be the groups. I was able to talk to people who were going through the same struggles as I was, and it made me feel like I wasn't alone. And the support of all the people around you is just absolutely amazing.

Jorge: Some of the things that I value most about the group, it's gotta be the people. We share similar goals, similar struggles. Yeah, I've just been able to learn from them and share my story and hear their story. It's also been very helpful in using this space to hold each other accountable.

Esther: A moment that really stuck with me from group was when several of us were sharing exactly the same issue, that we were struggling with, staying sober because it's summertime, and I was glad to know that I wasn't the only one going through it. Like I felt something was wrong with me, but then when I heard every single person in the group say they just went through the same thing I did over a weekend. It just reminded me addiction really affects everybody and this is a lifestyle change by choice and action and not just something you say you're doing.

Andi: I've been with Affect for like I think almost a year now. I love it. I've gotten so much good value out of it. I'm still sober for it because it's just the therapy is so good. Everybody in the group is so well maintenanced, they're respectful, the facilitator, she is so awesome. I just say give it a try, you never know until you try something.

Miguel: I wouldn't be able to stay sober this long without Affect, specifically, the group therapy. Specifically, in group therapy, I really enjoyed just the engagement. Whenever I would have a question, I'd actually get some good feedback from the group and from the instructor. I'd say that my recovery is going really well and I just wanna say thank you guys.

Bryan: Hey, just be yourself. That's all you gotta do. Just be yourself and you'll enjoy. A lot of people are very much open as well, and we're all in the same boat.

Anita: There is no reason to be nervous going in a group. Like I get it though, I was nervous my first time. But everybody in group is so understanding and we're all here to recover and get better and become the best versions of ourselves sober. You should never be nervous about something that you are willing to put the effort into and you're working toward the best version of you. Just go for it.
